Profile

Peter J Mogan has been active as a lawyer, corporate director, businessman and mediator in BC and Ontario since 1978. He has worked closely with his business clients and boards as a strategic advisor - bringing a practical, entreprenurial approach, combined with a very relational style.

Peter is known as a leading mid-market M&A legal advisor in British  Columbia. He has also advised dozens of companies on employee ownership. He is a frequent speaker, moderator and writer on M&A, prviate equity and employee ownership topics.

Peter's primary role at the present time is in corporate governance.

Board Experience

Over the past 45+ years, I've had the privilege of serving on more than 50 boards (36 for-profit businesses and 16 not-for-profits), and I've chaired 12 of those boards. I have served on and chaired numerous audit, governance and compensation committees. This journey has taken me into boardrooms of all shapes and sizes, each with its own lessons. Some examples:
